Elevate your lunch with this classic Club Sandwich! Crispy beef turkey bacon, tender turkey, and fresh veggies layered between toasted bread create satisfying texture and flavor.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • White or whole wheat bread: 3 slices per sandwich
  • Deli turkey breast: 3 ounces (about 3-4 slices)
  • Beef Bacon: 3-4 strips, cooked crispy
  • Ripe tomato: 1/2 medium, sliced
  • Crisp lettuce leaves: 2-3 (e.g., romaine or iceberg)
  • Mayonnaise: 2 tablespoons
  • Swiss or Cheddar cheese: 1 slice

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the ingredients. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels and set aside. Wash and slice the tomato and lettuce. Toast the three slices of bread until golden brown.
  2. Step 2: Spread mayonnaise thinly on one side of all three toasted bread slices. On the first slice of toast, layer the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and deli turkey breast.
  3. Step 3: Carefully place a second slice of toasted bread, mayonnaise-side down, directly on top of the turkey layer.
  4. Step 4: On this second bread slice, layer the crispy beef bacon strips and the slice of cheese.
  5. Step 5: Place the third and final slice of toasted bread, mayonnaise-side down, on top of the turkey bacon and cheese layer to complete the sandwich.
  6. Step 6: Secure the sandwich with two or four toothpicks, then carefully slice it diagonally into halves or quarters. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Club sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh; if you have leftovers, wrap each segment tightly in cling film and refrigerate for up to 2-3 hours, noting the bread and veggies may soften slightly.
  • This sandwich is designed to be served fresh and cool; reheating an assembled Club Sandwich is not recommended as it will wilt the lettuce, make the tomato mushy, and the bread soggy, detracting from its classic appeal.
  • Elevate your Club Sandwich experience by serving it alongside a classic side like crispy potato chips, a fresh garden salad, or a bowl of your favorite creamy soup for a truly satisfying meal.
  • For that perfect Club texture, make sure your beef turkey bacon is cooked extra crispy and your lettuce and tomato are thoroughly dry before assembling; this prevents sogginess and ensures delightful crunch in every bite.
