Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs: 1.5 lbs (about 4 thighs)
- Soy sauce: 3 tablespoons
- Sesame paste (tahini): 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar: 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar: 1 tablespoon
- Chili oil: 2 teaspoons
- Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
- Vegetable oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame paste, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili oil, and minced garlic until the sauce is smooth and well combined.
- Step 2: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Step 3: Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes. While the chicken rests, give the Bang Bang sauce another quick whisk.
- Step 4: Slice the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces or leave them whole, as preferred. Place the chicken back into the skillet or a clean bowl, then pour the prepared Bang Bang sauce over the chicken, tossing gently to ensure every piece is thoroughly coated.
- Step 5: Serve the "Tasty Bang Bang Chicken Thighs" immediately, optionally garnished with chopped green onions, crushed peanuts, or a side of fresh cucumber for added crunch.
