Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Step 3: Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 4: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, creating your homemade Alfredo sauce. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Step 5: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Add the drained fettuccine pasta and toss everything together until well coated.
- Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley on top. Enjoy your creamy shrimp fettuccine pasta!
Notes
- To store leftover creamy shrimp fettuccine, place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; be sure to let it cool completely before sealing.
- When reheating, gently warm the pasta on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of milk or cream to restore its creamy texture and prevent it from drying out.
- For an extra touch, serve your creamy shrimp fettuccine with a side of garlic bread and a fresh green salad for a complete meal that balances flavors and textures beautifully.
- For the best flavor, make sure to sauté the garlic just until fragrant before adding the shrimp—this will enhance the overall taste of your Alfredo sauce without burning the garlic.
