Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Step 2: Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss until fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Step 3: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Step 4: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers. Make sure not to overcrowd them for even cooking.
- Step 5: Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. During the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken skewers.
- Step 6: Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store any leftover Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
- When reheating, place the skewers in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to warm them through without drying them out.
- Serve the skewers with a side of fresh salad or grilled vegetables for a vibrant and healthy meal, and consider adding a dipping sauce like marinara for extra flavor.
- To enhance the garlic flavor, let the chicken marinate longer than 30 minutes—up to two hours is ideal for a deeper infusion of taste.
