Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 1 pound sliced turkey smoked turkey
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected, and place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
- Step 3: Layer the turkey smoked turkey evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, followed by placing the Swiss cheese slices on top of the turkey smoked turkey.
- Step 4: Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese, then in a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Step 5: Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store any leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, simply place the sliders back in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes until warmed through, which helps maintain their soft texture.
- Consider serving the sliders with a side of pickles or a light salad for a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors.
- For an extra flavor boost, try adding thinly sliced dill pickles or crispy turkey bacon between the turkey and cheese layers before baking.
